Mark Obernesser DMD

Dr. Mark Obernesser moved to the great Buckeye State in 1999 with his wife and family. Prior to his relocation, he practiced as an attending, Associate Surgeon at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Ma.

He was educated at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY where he obtained the degree of Bachelor Arts in Biology. He obtained his dental degree in 1984 at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, New York, NY. He continued his education at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he received a Fellowship and Certification in Periodontology. He was also awarded the degree of Master of Medical Science from the Harvard Medical School (1987).

Dr. Obernesser is an active member in the Akron dental Society, Ohio Dental Association, Ohio Academy of Periodontology, and the Academy of Osseous Integration and International Team for Implantology. He has published papers in periodontal medicine and has lectured nationally and internationally.
